This nearly 7500 sq.ft., 1800’s timber-frame barn is proposed to be converted into an entertaining and work space for the clients. The adaptive reuse of this structure will require a complete recladding of the exterior. This approach allows for a reimagination of the exterior using more refined material and incorporating large expanses of glass to take advantage of the extraordinary views into the landscape and connected cutting garden. The interior timber frame will be left exposed to stay true to the nature of the building.
